1 Race Dates, Number of Lap and Nominal Times

There's no set race dates, as soon as there's enough files to compile a race there is one.
Number of laps are always 30 and it's always flying start.

2 Schedule

As per above, there's no set schedule.

3 Scoring

No scoring will be used. Just racing.

4 Testing

4.1 Private testing may be carried out at any time.

5 Race Format

5.1 All races will be flying start.

5.6 Racers must determine "this is it" before making a qualifying or race run. Racers may only re-do a run in the event of a jumped start or  failure to finish due to technical failures.

6 Drivers

6.3 Drivers logos and web sites are optional.

6.22 Each driver will have a unique number.
A number that might be applied for at the time you're invited to CRS.

7 Communication

7.1 The Online Racing Series Website (http://ors.netg.se/) it's discussion board, and e-mail from the competition coordinator are the only official channels of communication for the Online Racing Series.

7.2 Drivers are expected to have access to all of the above and to check said communication sources in a timely manner.

7.3 Race logs for CRS are to be submitted via e-mail to online_racing_series@telia.com.

7.5 Competitors are strongly encouraged to keep a copy of all submissions until results are compiled. In the event a file is corrupted in delivery, or is lost by the competition coordinator, a racer may re-submit the original log file at the competition coordinator's request.

8 Cars

8.1 All cars must be controlled in real-time by the driver.

8.3 Drivers may run any chassis they desire.

8.4 Drivers may modify chassis or switch chassis type and bodies between races.

9 Timing Software

9.1 Timing software must be approved in advance.

9.2 The starting software may not drive the power to the track during the start sequence. That is, there should be no possibility of holding the controller on and a relay starting power to the track at the start of the race.

9.3 Approved software packages are currently:
     Dino v. 2.5 or later (Scuderia McEwen)
     Racedax (Erik Malmcrona)
     Lap Timer 2000 v 3.5 or later (Gregory Braun)
     Virtual Race System (VRS) 2001 v 1.03 or later (Neill Robinson)
     Rennbahnmanager v 4.2 or later
     Track Mate v 1.5 or later (Daniel Groulx)

9.4 Other software may be used provided it is cleared with the competition coordinator in advance.

10 Tracks

10.1 Drivers may switch lanes, direction and even tracks between races.

10.3 All tracks must be of the road course type. No oval or tri-oval tracks allowed.

11 Conduct

11.1 All racers are expected to be honest in their racing and communications with competition coordinators and other racers.

11.2 All racers are expected to read and abide by the rules for a particular series.

11.3 Common courtesy is expected among all participants.

11.4 Anyone failing to conduct themselves in a sportsman like manner may be penalized or removed from the series.

11.5 Discussion and opinions are valued on all rules and other matters. However, the decisions of the competition coordinator shall be binding and the authoritative word on all matters.
