Rules
Rules are open for
discussion on the discussion forum. Once a series begins, it will run
with the rules in effect at the time of starting through its completion.
These are the general rules for
participation. Specific requirements for each series will be posted
along with other information regarding that series.
1-General
- Honesty. Unless you are willing to play by the rules, even though
nobody is looking, please don't participate. The whole point of the
Online Racing Series is to have fun, not to win, not to see what you
can get away with.
- Communication. The ORS web site and discussion forum are the
official channels of communication concerning ORS, along with e-mail
from the ORS organizers.
2-Cars and Tracks
- Scale. Any scale slot car and track may participate in the
series. "HO", 1/43, 1/32 and 1/24 are all admissible.
- Chassis. Any slot car chassis configuration is permissible.
- Track. Any slot car track is permissible provided that it is a
closed circuit. (No drag strips.) Both sectional and custom routed
tracks may be used.
3-Timing and Reporting
- All tracks must have compatible computer timing in order to
participate. See F.A.Q. for a listing of
currently compatible systems.
- You must decide "This is it" before you make your competitive
run. It's not fair to make several runs and choose your best one to
send in.
- Log files not received by the stated cut-off for each race will
not count toward the series. You will just be left out for that race.
You may submit files early if necessary. (Vacation, etc.)
